Michael Okoh Assumes Office As Rivers State New CP

The new Commissioner of Police, Eastern Ports Command, River State, Michael Okoh psc(+) has promised to run open door police during his tenure in office.
He made the promised as he took over from Udman Muazu who was amongst officers promoted as an Assistant Inspector General (AIG) recently by the Police Service Commission psc Abuja.
CP Michael Okoh promised to build on existing structures of his predecessor AIG Muazu whom he described as real bred professional.
He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force as a cadet in May, 1992 and posted to Osun State as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) roses to be a Divisional Police Officer in Several Police Division in Ondo and Osun States respectively.
On his promotion as an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), CP Michael Okoh was posted to Ajaokuta in Kogi State as Area Commander. Following his promotion as a Deputy Commissioner (DC) he was posted to zone 16, Bayelsa State as DC Ops, and later transferred to zone 9 Umuahia Abia State as DC Ops before his elevation as a substantive Commissioner of Police, posted to the Force Headquarters Abuja as the Commissioner of Police Armament. He was the CP Armament before his redeployment to the Eastern Ports Command.
CP Okoh attended many courses on Security and Strategies within and outside Nigeria in his years spanning over three decades in the Nigeria Police. A known Crime buster and operational Officer who is regarded as one of the best who carry his assignments without fear or favour. Commissioner Okoh is a philanthropist, loves reading Sportsman and a multinational Speaker.
Speaking to newsmen, the new CP promised to run an open door policy emphasising that he has nothing to hide or fear.
The climax of the handover ceremony was the decoration of Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Isah Alli Gumel who was promoted as Deputy Commissioner of Police, now in charge of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Eastern Ports Command.
CP Michael Okoh is happily married and he is blessed with children.
