Ize-Iyamu highlighted that these changes stand in sharp contrast to the previous administration’s lack of progress.

In a statement made in Benin, Pastor Ize-Iyamu called for transparency and honest communication, insisting that the public deserves truthful information instead of misleading political claims from the opposition PDP.

He expressed confidence in Governor Okpebholo’s leadership, stating, “In just a year, Governor Monday Okpebholo has restored a climate of hope, order, accountability, and authentic development—progress that our citizens can truly see, feel, and benefit from.”

Ize-Iyamu emphasized the positive changes brought about by Governor Monday Okpebholo within a year, contrasting it with the previous administration’s lack of tangible progress.

According to him, our community deserves genuine engagement, free from political misdirection.

Ize-Iyamu said it has become imperative to issue the statement to ensure that facts remain clear and that the advancements being made today are not clouded by unfounded narratives.

“The first truth Aziegbemi inadvertently shared was his acknowledgment of the Benin flyover project—a venture the prior administration failed to initiate in eight years.

“Under Governor Monday Okpebholo, this project is visibly rising and steadily progressing toward completion. This acknowledgment alone underscores the difference in vision and commitment between the two administrations.

“Anyone familiar with the Ikpoba Hill axis of Benin the gateway to Edo Central and Edo North understands the gridlock, delays, and hardship that commuters have endured for years due to the heavy traffic on that route. The ongoing flyover is intended to permanently resolve that problem and ease movement for thousands of Edo people who rely on that corridor daily.

“It is important to state that leadership requires presence, accountability, and continuity. A former governor who has chosen to remain outside the state since leaving office can not credibly evaluate a government that is on ground, engaging with the people, and working consistently to rebuild what was left behind.”Ize-Iyamu said.
