Founder and Group Managing Director of Genius Hub, Isimemen Whyte, disclosed this during the unveiling of the platform in Benin, the state capital.

She described the platform as a digital marketplace designed to bridge the gap between skilled individuals and job opportunities.

According to Whyte, the initiative was created to tackle unemployment and expand access to dignified work by linking trained professionals directly with companies and organisations that require their services.

She explained that the organisation had previously relied on manual processes to match trained individuals with internship placements and job opportunities.

The entrepreneur noted that the manual system made it difficult to reach a wider audience, prompting the development of the platform to digitalise the process and expand opportunities for skilled professionals.

“Genius Hub is a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institution which focuses on equipping young people with practical skills that enable them to earn a sustainable livelihood,” she said.

Whyte added that the organisation has trained more than 100,000 young people over the past decade through its various skills development programmes.

She further stated that Genius Hub has collaborated with several local and international partners in the last 10 years.

According to her, the organisation has worked with the International Organization for Migration to support return migrants, vulnerable groups and unemployed youths.
