As part of measure to giving back to the society, Ohirenuan Foundation recently presented the renovated office, instructional books and vest to Avbiosi Grammar School, Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State.
The gesture which is a brain child of an indigene of the village, Mr. Leonard Ohirenuan Aidoloje has been an annual events of presentation to the pupils of the village from primary to tertiary institutions.
Speaking through a telephone interview with The9jaTREND reporter, he said the gesture is part of his promise while growing up in the village to assist the people in his own little way to uplift and raising the standard of education of the children and providing the necessary amenities to the people.
Going further Mr. Aidoloje said the few items presented to the school is designed to put smile on the faces of the students hence conserted efforts to ensure that the books get to them and place in safe place which was the reason for the renovation of the office where the books will be kept to prevent vandals from getting access to them.
He also opined that the gesture has psychology implication on the lives of the children, explaining that it would propel them to academic greatness, “when the child is catered for, you are giving that child the room to make great progress academically and become somebody great in the future”.
Mr. Leonard Aidoloje promised to continue to provide yhe necessary assistant not only in the area of education and health but in all human endeavours that will bring succuor to the people of Avbiosi and other adjourning villages.
Speaking on behalf of the high chiefs and elders at the presentation ceremony, Chief Joel Ehalodun Usikhifo appreciated Mr. Leonard Aidoloje for all he has been doing for the community and prayed God and ancestors to continue to bless him and his household.
He urged the student to make judicious use of the books and vests presented to them by the kind hearted man who knows the importance of education to the people,adding that this will encourage him to do more for them ,he also call on them to be good student and not get themselves involve in vices that will be disrepute to their family.
Receiving the items on behalf of the school, the Principal Director of Avbiosi Secondary School (SNR) Mrs. Akanbi Bintu and the Principal Junior Secondary School, Mr. Aigbodion Samuel Idehai, commended Mr. Leonard Aidoloje for the presentation of the renovated office where the books and vest donated will be kept, which they say will go a long way in improving on their academic performance.
While thanking him for the kind gesture, he appealed to the Chief and Elders of the Community to continue to assist the school in the area of provision of teachers, security and other learning materials for the students to be competing with their counterparts.
Also speaking, an indigene of the village, Mr. Moses Ojo Aidoloje said the people have never had it so good, pointing out that the people have been benefiting from the benevolence of Mr. Leonard Aidoloje. He urged him not to relent in his efforts at improving the living standard of the people.
