Yakubu Congratulates Idahosa On Conferment Of OFR By Buhari

A frontline Edo State 2024 Governorship hopeful and a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Deputy Governorship candidate in the 2016 Governorship race, Hon. John Yakubu has congratulated a former Edo State Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Charles Idahosa on the recent conferment of Officer of the Federal Republic (OFR) on him, by former President of Nigeria, Muhammed Buhari.
In a statement from his media office, Hon. Yakubu who is also a former Chairman of Esan North-East Local Government Council described the award as well deserved and a fitting reward for dedicated service to his people.
Hon. Yakubu recalled the glorious era in Uhunmwonde when Hon. Idahosa served his people as Local Government Council Chairman and he says that he has continued to be reckoned with in the politics of Uhunmwonde.
He also recalled his time as Director of Protocol, Government House and later elevated to the position of Commissioner for Information and Orientation in the Lucky Igbinedion’s administration.
He said due to his political astuteness, Governor Adams Oshiomhole appointed him his Political Adviser.
He urged Hon. Idahosa to remain steadfast in the defence of the rights of his people and wished him God’s blessings and excellent health always.
