Comrade Emmanuel made the declaration on Wednesday during interactive session with journalists in Benin City, the state capital.

According to him, “The promise of 2.5 million votes by the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu reelection bid in the 2027 general election has become Illusionary but unattainable with the emergence of NDC in the state, the fastest growing political party in Africa, and partly due to the high economic hardship and coupled with the unprecedented insecurity across the country.

“The NDC will clinch 75% of the total votes while the remaining 25% would be shared among the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the other parties in Edo State.”

Comrade Ogbidi who is contesting for Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben Federal Constituency, said Edo people should know that a new party, the fastest growing political party in Africa, as it is today, has emerged, which is the NDC, under the able leadership of the National Leader, Senator Siraki Dickson, and the National Chairman, Senator Moses Cleopas Zuwoghe.

“We have come to clearly states and bring to reality that since the emergence of NDC in the Edo State that the 2.5 million votes as promised Mr. President has been reduced to just 25% votes in the State as God-fearing politicians who are not heartless, we choose to at least make available just that number for him.

“I am here to intimate the good people of Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben Federal Constituency and Edo State people that NDC, the fastest growing political party in Africa has emerged under the able State Chairman of the party, Engineer David Olukoga, not forgetting our state leader, High Chief Don Ojemen.

“And we have decided to show what it means to serve the people; what it means to deliver the dividend of democracy; what it means to deliver effective and pragmatic representation; what it means to deliver radical representation and competent oversight to checkmating the executive, and also to draw the attention of the federal government to our constituency.

“So today we are very much aware that Edo people are happy, the good people of Esan Central, Esan West and Igueben federal constituency are happy because a new light has come and a new dawn has come with the emergence of NDC and the aspiration of my humble self and all the very well-notable and seasoned aspirants that are aspiring under this platform.

“It is worthy to note that the emergence of this movement (NDC) is a direct quick notice to the current occupants of Aso Rock today, and that is why even with 31 governors, because they have lost one yesterday, they are still not settled. They are still jittering.

Going further, the political activist from Edo Central Senatorial District added: “As it is today, there is high level of discontentment horizontally and vertically, from the national presidency down to the list of office holders within the ranking of APC. So this discontentment, this dissatisfaction is what is forming the high level of rejection to the ruling class as it is today and the embracing of the emergence of NDC.

“And that is why we know that the people are fully with us and they are going to queue behind us in this contest in this race, and in this coming election. So it is very obvious because the people yearn every day for a credible alternative. And that is what the platform of the NDC has demonstrated.

“The added advantage of the Obedient Movement as it is today and the combination of the Kwakwaso Movement is a major force that have brought about the OK Movement across the length and breadth of the Federal Republic of Nigeria vis-a-vis those states and Esanland. So we are very much confident that the combination is a direct quit notice to the present occupiers of Aso Rock.”
