There was palpable excitement and jubilation on Thursday at the Edo State Geographic Information Service (EdoGIS) premises, as Staff and Management of the Agency trouped out to officially take delivery of two brand-new 14- seater toyota buses provided by the Executive Governor of the State, Senator Monday Okpebholo.
The provision of the two brand new buses is part of Governor Okpebholo’s efforts to strengthen and enhance the operational capacity of the Agency, in line with his SHINE Agenda to strenghten government institutions and extend its services to the grassroots.
A visibly elated EdoGIS Managing Director, Dr. Innocent Ehiaguina Bello, declared that this gesture of the Governor has once again demonstrated his passsion and commitment to strengthen public institutions and enhance efficient service delivery noting that Governor Okpebholo has truly fulfilled his promise to provide the Agency with operational vehicles.
Speaking further, the Managing Director of EdoGIS, Dr. Innocent Ehiaguina Bello, expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency, Senator Monday Okpebholo, for his prompt response and unwavering support to the Agency, since he assumed duties in April this year.
Dr. Bello noted that the delivery of the buses will significantly enhance the Agency’s efficiency and productivity, enabling staff to better carry out their responsibilities in land administration and service delivery to the people of Edo State.
He reaffirmed EdoGIS’ commitment to supporting the vision of the Governor and assured members of the public that the Agency will continue to deliver quality services to them in line with the developmental goal of the State Government.
Other top Management Staff, who were present include the Director, Media, Dr. Tunde Godson Eigbiremolen, Director, Shared Services, Dr. (Mrs) Emofonmwan Jessica Akhere, Director, Finance & Accounts, Mrs. Florence Adebor and Director, Lands, ESV. Mrs. Edith Idehen, all expressed joy at the Governor’s gesture, describing it as “a timely game changer for the Agency”.
The buses are expected to improve the Agency’s operational reach and to support the effective administration and management of land-related activities across the State.
