The Managing Director of Edo State Waste Management Board (EWMB), Dr. Lucky Enehita-Inegbenehi, has urged residents in the state to play their part in protecting the environment as the world marks World Environment Day, June 5, 2026.
In his commemorative message, Dr. Enehita-Inegbenehi said: “I encourage every resident of Edo State to reflect on the role we all play in protecting our environment.
“A cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Edo can only be achieved through our collective actions. From proper waste disposal to reducing waste generation and embracing recycling, every positive action counts.”
“This year’s message reminds us that our land and our future are interconnected. The choices we make today will determine the quality of life for generations to come,” he added.
“As a Board, we remain committed to promoting environmental sustainability, strengthening waste management systems, and fostering environmental awareness across our communities,” the EWMB boss said.
While urging all Edo residents to join hands in keeping our environment clean, green, and safe, Dr. Enehita-Inegbenehi advised that with our collective contributions to our environment, we can build a better tomorrow for Edo people.
