The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Federal House of Representatives Candidate in the forthcoming 2027 general elections. Dr. Osamwonyi William Irowa has described Chief Gabriel Osawaru Igbinedion, the Esama of Benin Kingdom, as a global figure that is celebrated by all.
Dr. Irowa stated this on Tuesday during his felicitation visit to the house of Chief Igbinedion to join in the celebration of the patriarch of the Igbinedion Dynasty as he marks 92nd birthday celebration.
Speaking to journalists after his visit, the ADC Oredo Federal House of Representatives candidate who thank God for the life of the Esama of Benin Kingdom noted that Chief Igbinedion is a man who has lived for over nine decades and is still working stronger.
“He has lived so well, he has made marks both national and international. He has, for his own effort, singular effort put Oredo name in the Guinness Book of Records as well as most importantly, even in the dictionary.
“So, you can hear of Okada. If you check Okada, you will see what Okada means and all of that, and so many other things. He has remained consistently successful. I grew up to meeting that name as a young man and now, for all these years, he’s still who he has been.
“So, for that, I felt it is necessary for me to come and join him and tap from the blessings God has given him and also let him know that I am going to be representing Oredo Federal constituency in the Green Chamber of the National Assembly come 2027 general elections.
“And for that, I think he’s a man that we must all align with; identify with. If you look at the territory, look at the compound, you can see all persons of various denominations, various tribes, and even religious and political affiliations. They are here to celebrate this great man God has blessed,” he said.
