Edo Central Senatorial Candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in the 2027 general elections, Hon. John Yakubu have used Nigeria’s 66th Independence Day to encouraged Edo Central people to remain resilient, obtain their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), and actively participate in shaping the democratic future of Esan people come 2027 general elections.
Yakubu who stated this in his Independence message to the good people of Esanland noting that there is need for responsible leadership and honest reflection on local development.
Acknowledging the current economic and social hardships faced by citizens rather than painting a purely rosy picture, the Edo Central NDC Senatorial candidate call for accountable leadership and reminded those in power that true independence means fulfilling the basic needs and aspirations of the common people.
He noted that Nigeria independence anniversary provides an opportunity to reflect on our journey as a nation while renewing our commitment to peace, unity, good citizenship, and sustainable development. Nigeria’s progress requires the collective efforts of citizens, leaders, communities, and institutions working together for the common good.
He encouraging his constituents in Edo Central senatorial district to stay hopeful, remain law-abiding, and work collectively for progress regardless of party lines and reassuring the local community of his commitment to standing up for their rights, security, and welfare at all levels of government.
