…Appreciates party stakeholders for abiding on party’s principle

The National Leader of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) in Edo Central Senatorial District, Chief Don Peter Ojemen on Sunday promised to ensure that the party emerged victorious in the 2027 general elections in the district.
Just as he appreciated the leaders of the party in the district including, Party Chairmen, Senatorial Aspirants, House of Representatives Aspirants and State House of Assembly Aspirants who came out in large numbers on Saturday 16th May, 2026 during a stakeholders meeting of the party at his resident at Okpoji, Esan Central local government area of Edo State.
Ojemen who stated this in a press statement he personally signed and made available to The9JaTREND noting that what transpired at the meeting was as a result of the fact that the party zoning principle applied at party national convention was also applied at the state level.
“To the glory of God Almighty, what transpired at the meeting was as a result of the fact that the party zoning principle applied during the National Convention of the party was also applied at the meeting of yesterday.
“And conscious of the zoning formula, the Presidency was zoned to the South and was unanimously agreed that the position should return to the North four years after.
“On behalf of the National leadership of NDC, I’m using the medium to appreciate all our senatorial aspirants, federal and state aspirants who were present and those who send their representatives for participating in the exercise and abide by the principle of the party.”
